Why not Easter?

I was recently asked this:

I understand not celebrating Christmas, but why do you not celebrate Easter?

My reply:

Easter is a festival based on the pagan celebration of the Vernal Equinox, and a full moon, which is happens on the first Sunday after that. This has to do with regeneration, rebirth and pagan fertility rights.

Passover is the direct and original biblical equivalent of Easter, rember Paul writes:

“Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.” 1 Corintians 5:7.

Passover and Easter are in conflict according to The Spirit, and subsequently my world view, for one is rooted in Scripture and specifically mentioned in both the Old and New Testaments. The other isn’t mentioned in scripture, and actually has it’s roots in paganism. Remember God told us not to worhsip the sun, moon, stars or any created thing, and the nature of deception is to make something that isn’t right, seem correct. Yahshua/Jesus told us to be wary of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees (Matthew 16:16), these are people who forsake the comands of God, in favour of the traditions of men (Mark 7:13). Isn’t Easter such a tradition?
